Heather Garcia is a Latinx filmmaker, producer, and writer from Indio, CA and now living in Seattle, WA. She was accepted into Idyllwild Arts Academy for her final year of high school where she received accreditation in Fine Arts. She is currently a BFA candidate in film at Cornish College of the Arts. Recently, she went abroad to Havana, Cuba, in coordination with NYU Tisch School of Film, to produce and direct documentary films which premiered at the Fundacion Ludwig de Cuba in Havana. Heather is currently involved in an upcoming documentary project in collaboration with public artist, Lauren Lida, and video artist, Robert Campbell, set in Kampot, Cambodia. She is also currently producing a documentary series with Indonesian filmmaker Anissa Amalia, that will begin production summer of 2019  in Jakarta, Indonesia.
